Party of the YEAR!!!

Who’s crazy enough to plan two birthday parties in one day in one place?  *raising my hand*

What the holy heck was I thinking?!?  Oh yeah, I was thinking how much I love my kids and would do anything within my power to make them happy. (As long as it’s a reasonable request.  Sorry Ava I can’t buy you a castle to live in.)

So the question is where do I satrt in explaining the fiasco that went down yesterday…..

Well, for those that don’t know I have 2 children.  One (Ava) was born on March 25, 2006 and the other (Parrish) on March 26, 2004.  For the last 4 years I have combined their parties into one big party.  Unfortunately for me this year they both requested to have separate parties.  What was a mother to do?

Naturally, I go do what I do best which is sit my butt down in front of the computer and get online.  I searched and searched party places in the SF Bay Area.  I refused to have my kid’s parties at the Pinole Chuck E Cheese’s or any Chuck E Cheese’s (I’m not a Chuck E Cheese’s snob, I just don’t like the place) in fact!  Then low and behold I found Super Franks on Bay Area Kid Fun.

That night we headed out to Super Franks for dinner and immediately loved the place and booked the kid’s birthday parties.  They offered a Tea Party Room for Ava and a Sports Party for Parrish.  We booked the parties on the same day and at the same time.  The reason for that is because I didn’t want to have family coming on 2 seperate dates for the kid’s parties and I don’t know how much Parrish would love being at the Tea Party.  While Ava had her Tea Party, Parrish was having his Sports Party.  Make sense?

Yes, I know! You all want me to quit the babbling and get to the good stuff, the pictures.  Fine, fine here ya go.  Ladies first:

Ava’s invite I found on Ebay.  Aren’t they cute?

More girls getting beautified.

Top tier of Ava’s cupcake tower.  The cupcake liner and cups are from Bake it Pretty.

The cupcake tower is also from Bake it Pretty.  Cupcakes were Vanilla with Swiss Meringue Buttercream. (I got the Vanilla cupcake recipe from CB of I Heart Cuppycakes)

Tea and Sandwiches

After Ava’s Tea Party was done we headed over to Parrish’s room for cake and goodie bags.  Before we get to that part you will have to check out Parrish’s party.

That will come in another post (Don’t worry it will be sooner than you think)….
