As you can see for yourself I conquered the Pate a Choux.  *grinning*  Anything can happen when you have running water and a working stove.

Some of you may be wondering “What the heck is Pate a Choux?”.  CLICK HERE to find out.  (Isn’t Wikipedia great?)

Here are examples of good Pate a Choux and NOT so good Pate a Choux:

The picture on the left is my successful Pate a Choux and the one on the right is my “Flat” a Choux. HA! HA! HA! *slapping knee* Get it? *readers groan*

When I decided to make Pate a Choux I envisioned myself filling them with Nutella custard.  Because my first attempt at making them didn’t pan out I decided to keep the filling pretty simple.  I used fresh whipped cream and strawberries (I sprinkled about 3 tablespoons on 2 lbs. of sliced strawberries and let them sit in the fridge for a few hours.) then topped it off with the Nutella.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with myself in conquering the Pate a Choux.  (Noticed how I love using that word…”Pate a Choux, Pate a Choux, Pate a Choux”)  Now that I know I can make it, I will definitely be making it again.  I just have to remember to have a working oven when making these.
