Watermelon Agua Fresca

Before I get to the super easy watermelon agua fresca recipe, I wanted to share a few pictures from the July 4th weekend.

As I said before in a previous post, we are moving to Missouri in August.  Since we only have 1 month left here in the beautiful state of CA, I wanted to document it on the blog. For the next month you will be seeing posts of our last 4 weekends in here.

Trust me, our next 4 weekends are jammed packed with baseball games, barbecues, going away parties, brunch and wine tasting.

On July 4th we went here…



…the Marin County Fair
And spent the day there with our BFFs and both my kid’s Godparents, Brian and Denise a.k.a Ninong Brian and Ninang Denise.


We spent pretty much all day at the fair and stayed to watch the fireworks display.  The weather was perfect and the food was even better.

On Monday we had a barbecue at my parent’s house where we got to spend time with some of our favorite people.

Jared is going to miss poker nights with the boys.

We still have 3 more weekends left here and we plan to do as much as possible before we leave.

Now on to Watermelon Agua Fresca…


This recipe is super easy to make and it is great to use when you have a whole gigantic watermelon and want to use it for something rather than eating.



Watermelon Agua Fresca


8 cups cubed watermelon (seeded)
1 cup water
1/4 cup simple syrup


Place watermelon, water and simple syrup in a blender and puree. Serve over ice.

*You may have to puree the watermelon, water and simple syrup in 2 batches, depending on the size of your blender.
