Walgreens Sunday Savings

Within the last month I have become a couponer.  Yes, you read that right I clip coupons and I am not ashamed to say it.  With my husband going to school full time and working part time, we are living off an income of 1 1/2 people.  I have had to learn to save money where I can.

I have gotten to the point where I try to get what I can for as cheap as possible or for free.  Some may call it Extreme Couponing, but I like to call it Creative Couponing.

I have had a few people ask me how I do it so I have decided to share with my readers what know, which isn’t much.  Keep in mind that I am not as good as the people you see on the TLC show, Extreme Couponing.  I hope to one day be as good as them.

Here are a few tips I have for people who want to start couponing:

-Clip any and ALL coupons in the paper.  Hell, you know when you are walking down the grocery aisle and see those flashing things on the shelves?  Take advantage and grab those coupons.

-Organize your coupons in a binder using baseball card holders.  I separate my coupons my aisle/category using binder tabs.

-Check out your weekly ads and match up your coupons to the sale price.

-Remember, coupons are money, so don’t throw away your money (unless it expires).

The last few weeks Walgreens has been running some very competitive ads.  I got some really great deals last week and even better ones this week.  Below, you will find some of the deals they have going on this week, if you have the MFG coupons to go with it.

What you will notice in the ads is that Walgreens offers RR (Register Rewards), these are as good as cash and can be used on your next purchase.  I save them for the next week when I go back for more great deals.
