Pink Popcorn

I was craving pink popcorn.

I know what you’re thinking, “Why would you, a 29 year old woman, be craving that?”  And I have an answer for you….because it is Summer and I wish I was a kid again!

There’s something about Summer that reminds me of pink popcorn.  I think it’s because I associate Summer with carnivals and with carnivals there is pink popcorn.

I remember being a kid and going to the carnival and heading straight to the snack station to get a brick of  pink popcorn to gnaw on, oh and a caramel apple.  Then going off to ride the Gravitron and praying that I wouldn’t throw up  mid-ride.  Oh, the good ole’ days!

Unfortunately, I cannot turn back time and I can no longer stomach riding the Gravitron or any other ride, for that matter.  Apparently, getting old does that to you or maybe it’s just me.  So, I decided to relive my childhood by making homemade pink popcorn.
