[book club]: before i go to sleep

I love to read and one thing I find after I read a book is that I want to talk about it with someone.  I try to talk to my husband about the book and since he is not much of a reader he can’t really relate to what I’m talking about.  Maybe if I was talking accounting or numbers then he would relate, but that’s not the case.

About a year ago, I was invited to join a book club.  It was actually my first book club I have ever been a part of and I immediately loved the ladies that were in the group.  They are a fun group of women!  Plus, to me there’s nothing better than wine, food, books and great discussions.

I thought that I would share with my readers what books we are currently reading or have just discussed.

My book club meeting was last night and our discussion was on the book Before I Go To Sleep by S.J. Watson.  All I can say is that I could not put this book down and I read it within 24 hours.  Yes, it was that good!  It was a psychological thriller and a page turner.

Have you or anyone else you know read this book?  If so, what were your thoughts on it?

Want to know what book we are reading next? Our next book for book club is Room by Emma Donoghue.  I read this book about a year ago and recommended we read it for book club.

I was at my local library last week. where they have a shelf with used books for sale. Many of them donated from patrons. I paid $1 for the book, which I had never heard of previously. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down. Finished the book in two days. By far the best book I’ve read in a long time. This will be my book choice for the book-club I belong to. I love the writing style, the easy to read format and the different plots going on. I love it, when I can’t see it coming.
